Global Private Bank is one of the preeminent private banks in the Eurozone and for family entrepreneurs worldwide. It serves around 20 million customers, covering Retail, private client organisations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and India, and wealth management customers from more than 80 locations in Germany, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
The business has more than 500 billion euros of assets under management and a combined revenue of approximately 9.5 billion euros. Overview: The position is aligned to the Strategy function which works closely with the global and regional Strategy teams for the International Private Bank and Private Bank of Deutsche Bank

Your core responsibilities
Work as part of the Private Bank strategy team to support Wealth Management and Personal Banking Franchise in Germany
Conduct analysis of competitors and macro / market environment covering quarterly competitor financial performance, key themes impacting earnings, industry themes/trends and regulatory changes; act as a understanding partner for strategy team and senior management
Work on strategic projects e.g. creating new progress chances, evaluating business performance, outlining business deep dives, creating case studies / recommendations / strategic options for business units, upgrading operational productivity and effectiveness, and creating country overviews
Storyboarding with the aptitude to consistently understand the “big picture” and link the key takeaways back to the project narrative; create clear and effective storyline for presenting analyses and recommendations.
Prepare presentations for senior management meetings, townhalls, leadership conferences and investor day.
Work closely with senior strategy team members globally, finance and other functional teams in different regions; position provides wide exposure into Private Banking
Your competencies and experience
Proficient German language abilities (minimum B2, ideally C1)
4 to 7 years prior background in a strategy job, consultancy firm, private bank domain or corporate finance post with solid know-how of the financial service industry (specialise in Private Banking, Wealth Management) and sufficient understanding of Deutsche Bank’s home market in Germany
Hands‑on experience of AI tools and platforms (e.g. Copilot) to support analytical rigor, enhance productivity, and advance strategic priorities over the Private Bank.
Prefer MBA, master’s in finance or equivalent qualification from a reputed university
Sound proficiency in MS Excel (absolutely required) to create financial models and handle large datasets
Solid proficiency in MS PowerPoint (absolutely required) with exposure to creating presentations / pitch books presentable to different stakeholder groups incl. senior management
Capacity to work independently and in large global teams with effective prioritization competencies to meet project deadlines
Collaborate and confident individual with effective verbal and written communication abilities
A self-starter with outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities
