Position Purpose: Fund Accounting operation / production

Responsibilities: Daily Operations (Delivery of Daily Net Asset value of Mutual funds) & People Management

Direct Responsibilities

·       Applicant will be expected to run the operational areas on a day-to-day basis as per SLA.

• The job requires very sound Organizational capabilities. In this job individual would be expected to have full understanding of process and control and to be involved in production as preparer/ reviewer of funds.

·       Need to have ownership to support enhanced productivity by 5 % plus streamlining to oversee more business with same or less workforce.

·       Jobseeker will be accountable to create appropriate mindset spanning team to follow conduct and compliance protocols with zero breaches.

• Applicant will be expected to work closely with the teams within FA & other satellite teams.
• Solid technical understanding of Fund Accounting / Fund Services functions and over fund structures is expected. Anticipation of issue and risk assessment would be key and timely escalating to appropriate team/ escalation contact would be expected.
• Guarantee audit protocols are followed by the team. Execute periodic independent control to ensure adherence. Spot proactively, control gaps and take mitigating steps. Act as SPOC during audit period.
• Secure incident management protocol is followed by self and the team.
• Ensure procedures are in place to efficiently deal with exceptions and that they are reviewed, researched, documented and resolved in a timely manner.
• Demonstration of commitment to secure continuous process improvement to deliver on productivity targets.
• Effective and Robust Communication Skill required for this post

Contributing Responsibilities

·       Direct involvement in integrating new business & activities that will be transferred from other 2S locations in line with ERS strategy.

·       Secure high level of communication network is established will all the departments within the business group to promote team stability with enhancement of expertise.

·       Ensure that, customer issues/concerns are addressed and resolved within the agreed timelines. Client service review score card should be well maintained and aim to be 4 or above

·       Ensure high level of service has been delivered to the Customers of BNP Paribas Group.

·       Defining the Core Performance Indicators for the process and achieving the same on a regular basis.

·       Run and reduce operational risk

·       Continue to build a robust layer of Middle management and succession planning.

·       Prioritise the work and conduct investigation with due diligence on all the discrepancies.

·       Run staff to take corrective measures/actions.

·       Must have handled Business Continuity Exercises

·       Guarantee all the necessary training has been provided to the team members to execute the relevant tasks.

·       Ensure all the deliverables of the process are met and maintained as per the service agreement.

·       Guaranteeing the delivery of quality services to clients with consistent green KPIs

·       Ensure no material / financial incidents

·       Conduct investigation with due diligence on all the discrepancies in processes.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·       Overall 12+ years plus experience with at least 10 years+ in FA Domain

·       End to End exposure in Fund Accounting Stream with understanding of Mutual funds accounting.

·       Aware of the entire NAV cycle and roles played by different upstream teams. Basic know-how of upstream teams like Middle office, Pricing, Corporate Action, TA etc.

·       Interest and Track record in FA Operational Transformation

·       Understanding of specific BNP Paribas/Securities Services Control processes and tools 

·       Continue to secure sufficient Risk & Control process are in place

·       Continually working towards process improvements and streamlining savings and optimisation of costs

·       Having proper contingency planning during BCP

·       Aligning with organization goals 

·       Business Migration Expertise 

·       Adequate understanding of FA System Data Flow 

·       Be able to express ideas efficiently in individual and group situations

·       Resources Hiring and Training Skill

·       Internal and External Audit Management

Graduates / Postgraduates (M. Com/MBA Finance preferred)
