Job Description

  • Hands-on experience in Ingot Casting Operations, particularly in Bottom Pouring Casting Practice within steel manufacturing environments.
  • Independently handle shift operations and ensure smooth execution of casting activities as per production schedules.
  • Monitor and control ingot casting parameters to ensure product quality, yield, and process efficiency.
  • Possess sound knowledge of moulds, mould accessories, bottom pouring refractories, and insulating pads used in casting operations.
  • Ensure proper inspection and quality control of mould-related consumables before use.
  • Maintain adherence to standard operating procedures and quality requirements during casting operations.
  • Ensure safe working practices and compliance with all safety guidelines and statutory requirements.
  • Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and process interruptions.
  • Plan, monitor, and maintain optimum inventory levels of refractories, mould consumables, and casting accessories as per heat schedules.
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and stores teams for seamless operational execution.
  • Monitor consumable usage and drive initiatives for cost optimization and material utilization improvement.
  • Analyze process deviations and support root cause analysis to eliminate recurring operational issues.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives to enhance casting quality, productivity, and operational reliability.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, best practices, and process improvements in the ingot casting area.
  • Ensure effective workplace management through proper housekeeping, 5S implementation, and operational discipline.
  • Utilize quality tools and problem-solving techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
  • Guide and support operators in achieving production, quality, and safety objectives during shifts.
  • Prepare and maintain production records, shift reports, and operational documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems for reporting, inventory management, planning, and data analysis.
  • Possess good communication, planning, analytical, and team management skills for efficient shift operations.
