The Senior Sales Manager (Household) position sits in the IDFC FIRST Bank office in Hyderabad.

About the Position

The Senior Sales Manager – Household is a strategic leadership job within the Branch Banking function of Retail Banking. This post is accountable for handling and scaling the retail branch banking business spanning the assigned region. The incumbent will drive the acquisition of Household/ Savings customers, expand the branch footprint, increase product penetration, and guarantee the delivery of high-quality customer service. The job also carries P&L accountability and contributes to the broader objectives of the branch banking channel.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of branch officers throughout the assigned command area of branches.
• Pinpoint and acquire potential customers for asset products, generating fee-based revenue.
• Monitor daily sales calls to ensure adherence to the acquisition process and adequate market coverage.
• Drive activation of household/ savings customers and secure achievement of float targets.
• Impart and refresh product grasp among team members to sustain up-to-date awareness.
• Secure timely resolution of customer queries and service requests.
• Keep up optimal staffing levels for the household/ savings account acquisition team throughout the region.
• Handle customer-centric operations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting service quality standards.
• Evaluate expansion strategies based on competitor analysis and feedback from a range of channels.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance service streamlining and quality throughout the branch network.
• Monitor execution of business plans and secure alignment with defined progress targets.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional collaboration to enhance customer experience and business outcomes.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and central programs aimed at driving regional performance.

What We Are Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) are preferred.

Experience

• Proven background in retail banking, with a robust background in sales and team management.
• Prior track record in overseeing regional or multi-branch operations is desirable.
