About the Role
The Key Account Manager – Govt & TASC is responsible for end-to-end management, servicing and growth of assigned Government and TASC (Trusts, Associations, Societies & Clubs) accounts. The role focuses on ensuring compliant onboarding, smooth deployment, sustained transaction usage and high-quality engagement with institutional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Own a defined portfolio of Government, PSU, Semi-Government and TASC institutional accounts within the assigned geography.
• Drive transaction growth and solution utilisation across allotted accounts post‑onboarding.
• Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day coordination with institutional clients.
• Build and maintain working relationships with government officials, trustees, administrators and finance teams of assigned institutions.
• Ensure regular engagement to understand requirements, address concerns and improve account utilisation.
• Support long‑term retention and deepening of institutional relationships.
• Coordinate with operations, technology and product teams for POS deployments, digital collection setups and bulk installations.
• Track implementation timelines and ensure smooth go‑live and stabilisation.
• Promote appropriate acquiring solutions based on institutional needs.
• Manage service issues, downtime or operational escalations for assigned accounts.
• Ensure timely resolution in coordination with internal teams, with minimal disruption to institutional operations.
• Monitor recurring issues and support preventive interventions.
• Ensure all onboarding, KYC, pricing and documentation requirements are completed strictly in line with bank policies and regulatory norms, especially for government business.
• Maintain accurate records and audit readiness for assigned accounts.
• Escalate risk, compliance or process deviations to the Regional Sales Manager proactively.
Qualifications
Optimal qualification for success on the job is:
• Graduation /Post Graduate degree
Role Proficiencies:
• 3 – 8 years of experience in banking, payments, institutional or government-facing roles
• Exposure to Govt, PSU or TASC client handling preferred
• Experience in coordination‑driven, process‑heavy environments
• Strong coordination and institutional relationship management skills
• Understanding of merchant acquiring and digital payment solutions
• Attention to detail and documentation discipline
• Ability to work across multiple internal stakeholders
