ROLE SUMMARYPackage Engineer supports the end-to-end execution of specific project packages—such as Boiler Structure, Pressure Parts, Non-Pressure Parts, BOIs etc.—within a large-scale EPC project. Reporting to the Package Manager, the role involves collaborating with engineering, procurement, construction, and quality teams to make sure timely availability of inputs and smooth package execution. The Package Engineer assists in tracking progress, resolving technical issues, and overseeing interfaces across functions. The role also includes preparing documentation, following up with vendors and subcontractors, and making sure compliance with technical specifications, project standards, and safety qualifications under the guidance of the Package Manager.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIESPackage Execution & CoordinationSupport the Package Manager in the execution of the assigned package (e.g., Boiler Structure, Non Pressure Parts, BOIs etc) as per project schedule, quality, and cost objectives.Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and site execution teams to make sure timely availability of drawings, materials, and technical inputs.Track progress of engineering key outcomes, manufacturing clearances, dispatches, and site activities related to the package.Assist in identifying execution bottlenecks and escalate issues for resolution in a timely manner.Sustain and update package-level tracking reports, dashboards, and documentation for review.Timely processing of vendor invoices for Client billing & vendor payment.Procurement & Vendor CoordinationFollow up with vendors and suppliers for timely submission of engineering drawings, QAPs, and technical documents.Monitor manufacturing status and collaborate inspections, dispatch plans, and logistics with concerned functions.Back up quality and logistics teams in organizing inspections and making sure readiness for material movement to site.Track and report vendor performance against contractual milestones and technical compliance.Contract and Commercial SupportAssist in reviewing technical specifications and scope of work for the assigned package.Back up the Package Manager in documenting changes, deviations, and claims for onward submission.Deliver input for package billing, certification, and cost monitoring activities as required.Stakeholder EngagementLiaise with client representatives, consultants, and site teams for obtaining necessary approvals and clearances.Collaborate technical discussions and queries with vendors and make sure timely resolution.Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders for package-related matters.Quality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure adherence to approved quality assurance plans and safety protocols during package execution.Back up quality audits, inspections, and compliance checks at vendor works and construction site.Sustain proper documentation of inspections, NCRs, and corrective actions implemented.
