Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintaining the boiler feed and steam parameters as per Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendation.
  2. Ensure accurate sampling and testing of coal quality.
  1. Ensure the proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for handling the hazardous chemicals.
  2. Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of membrane as per design.
  3. Maintaining database for analysis of coal testing results, yard losses, etc.
  1. Ensure production of demineralized water as per specified quality limits.
  2. Responsible for treatment of all the effluents to achieve and maintain the zero liquid discharge.
  3. Ensure up-keeping of all sophisticated equipment used in water and coal testing.
  4. Responsible for testing of lubricating oil used in various equipments of the plant
  5. Maintaining of condensate cooling system water as per recommended treatment program. 
  6. Responsible for testing of received and feed coal sample.
  7. Ensure the quality of raw/ input chemical used in thermal power plant as per the specified standard.
  8. Responsible for testing of LDO/HFO oil.
  1. Providing new updates on power plant corrosion chemistry.
  2. Knowledge sharing- keep up with the developments in the outer environment.
