About the Role
The Sales Manager – Credit Cards (Affluent Segment) is responsible for acquisition and growth of affluent and high‑value credit card customers. The role focuses on sourcing, onboarding and relationship management of customers with strong income and liability potential, while driving portfolio quality, activation and card usage managing a team of 10 to 12 offroll staff members in line with the Bank’s affluent banking strategy
Key Responsibilities
• Drive acquisition of affluent / premium credit card customers through focused sourcing and relationship‑led sales.
• Target customers mapped to priority, affluent, wealth and high‑income segments, as defined by the Bank.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly acquisition and activation targets.
• Source customers through branch networks, relationship managers, referrals, events and targeted campaigns.
• Work closely with Affluent Relationship Managers, Branch Heads and Liability teams for joint sourcing.
• Participate in affluent customer meets, lifestyle events and premium engagement programmes.
• Ensure high‑quality sourcing with adherence to underwriting norms, income criteria and credit policies.
• Drive timely card activation and early usage through structured customer engagement.
• Monitor early delinquency indicators and ensure portfolio hygiene.
• Promote premium card propositions, lifestyle benefits, rewards and offers to increase card spends.
• Support cross‑sell opportunities aligned to affluent customers, in coordination with branch and wealth teams.
• Ensure all sourcing, documentation and onboarding processes adhere to Bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and support audit and review requirements.
• Adhere to ethical selling practices and customer suitability norms.
Qualifications
Optimal qualification for success on the job is:
• Graduation /Post Graduate degree
• 4 to 6 years of experience
Role Proficiencies:
• 3 - 8 years of experience in banking sales, credit cards or affluent customer acquisition
• Prior exposure to high‑net‑worth or premium customer segments preferred
• Experience working with branches and relationship managers
• Strong relationship‑based selling skills
• Good understanding of credit card products and affluent propositions
• Ability to work with targets while maintaining quality discipline
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
