Job Description
As an Officer Sales in the Liability Sales department, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers for the bank by promoting liability products, retail banking solutions, and third-party financial products. The role involves generating new business opportunities, building long-term customer relationships, achieving monthly sales targets, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through regular client engagement. This is a field sales role that requires daily customer interactions and travel.
About the Liability Sales Department
The Liability Sales department focuses on driving the Bank's liability acquisition business by sourcing retail and corporate deposits, salary and non-salary accounts, trust accounts, retail forex business, and other banking relationships. The department works closely with branches across India to expand the bank's retail customer base, deepen existing customer relationships, and increase the overall liability book through strategic customer acquisition and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers for the bank through proactive lead generation and relationship building.
- Promote and sell liability products, banking services, investment products, and approved third-party financial products.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with existing customers to increase wallet share and customer engagement.
- Identify new business opportunities within assigned territories and convert prospective customers.
- Achieve monthly sales and business targets as per the assigned Grade Matrix.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities through the Bank's CRM system.
- Ensure compliance with KYC, SEBI guidelines, and all applicable banking regulations during customer onboarding and servicing.
- Handle customer queries efficiently while delivering an excellent customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Graduate from a recognized university.
- Experience:
- Officer Sales-1: Graduate with less than 1 year of relevant sales experience.
- Officer Sales-2: Graduate with 1 to 2 years of relevant sales experience.
- Proficiencies: Strong communication skills in English and the local language, excellent lead generation and sales conversion abilities, customer relationship management skills, ability to work under pressure, meet sales targets, and collaborate effectively within a team.
