Job Description
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Operations Team Member to join our Commercial Operations team within the Wholesale Banking Group (WBG). The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying legal documentation, maintaining operational records, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The candidate will be involved in end-to-end documentation verification, collateral and limit maintenance, insurance policy coordination, and post-disbursement tracking. The role also includes liaison with auditors, MIS reporting, and coordination with various internal teams for seamless operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end processing of Trade Finance transactions including Letter of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), Bills, Import/Export Finance, and Supply Chain Finance.
- Verify and scrutinize trade-related documents as per regulatory and bank guidelines.
- Conduct document verification, discrepancy handling, and coordination with branches, customers, and business teams.
- Manage Daily Volume Units (DVU) and ensure adherence to defined turnaround timelines.
- Perform property-related document checks and validation wherever applicable.
- Monitor operational controls and ensure compliance with RBI, FEMA, UCPDC, and internal policies.
- Investigate and resolve transaction exceptions, operational queries, and customer escalations.
- Prepare MIS, productivity trackers, and operational reports.
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure closure of audit observations.
Eligibility
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Banking, Finance, or related discipline.
- 4–7 years of experience in Working Capital Operations / Trade Finance Operations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Trade Finance Operations and Working Capital products.
- Understanding of LC, BG, Bills, Import & Export Finance processes.
- Knowledge of documentation, DVU management, and property document verification.
- Good understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting.
Preferred Certifications
- CDCS / Trade Finance Certification (preferred)
- NISM or Banking-related certifications
