Job Purpose
Set strategic direction for enterprise-wide model risk and AI governance while driving cultural transformation and innovation. Provide executive leadership in shaping organizational approach to model risk and AI governance while managing C-suite relationships and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Model Risk Oversight & Strategic Leadership
Set strategic direction for model risk and AI governance.
Lead Model Risk Management Committee and AI/ML Council.
Drive innovation in governance approaches.
Manage senior stakeholder and regulatory relationships.
Governance & Policy
Oversee model risk policy framework.
Drive AI governance strategy and standardization initiatives.
Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee policy development.
Team & Project Management
Lead team of professionals and strategic projects.
Drive career development, performance, and talent management.
Oversee system implementation and automation initiatives.
Risk Management
Oversee model risk assessments and AI risk management.
Manage validation frameworks and emerging risks.
Lead risk reporting to Board and develop risk metrics.
Innovation & Development
Drive governance innovation and industry engagement.
Lead research initiatives and thought leadership.
Develop strategic partnerships and awareness programs.
AI Research
Research and design model risk frameworks for AI/ML and GenAI models.
Enhance model validation methodologies for evolving AI risks.
Develop AI/ML validation toolkits and best practices.
Conduct emerging risk research and design test scenarios.
Education:
Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or MBA in Finance.
Certifications:
AI/ML certifications preferred, leadership/management certifications valued.
Key Competencies
Strategic leadership, model risk management, AI/ML governance, stakeholder management, project portfolio management.
Major Stakeholders
C-suite executives, regulatory bodies, cross-functional teams.
