Position purpose:

Build, publish, and secure APIs (cloud native microservices).

Work across enterprise and environments for a large-scale program.

Job Responsibilities:

Establish cloud native microservices per DDD & TDD architecture principles with REST API development.

Deliver in an agile development process within a DevSecOps environment.

Design services using sound principles of application, data, and infrastructure to be performant, resilient, and highly available.

Create, sustain, test, and debug the entire back end of an application or system in interaction with other engineering and testing teams.

Translate user stories into technical solutions that execute at large scale.

Design, establish, test, and implement services to back up business functions.

Implement appropriate design patterns of a services-oriented architecture: Saga, CB, CQRS, event driven.

Adopt best practices to implement reliability measures: HA, fault tolerance.

Adopt best practices to implement consistency measures: timeouts, retries, pessimistic locking.

Deploy key outcomes in cloud environments with advanced monitoring and debugging/tracing capabilities.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related area.

Key Capabilities:

Architecture, Cloud Native Development, Agile Practice, Microservices, API Gateway.

Knowledge in development of RESTful web services using popular technologies: Java, GoLang, Spring Boot, Nodejs etc.

Knowledge in building with middleware, streaming, and database technologies like Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB etc.

Experienced in TDD/ADD and Automation testing with Junits, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium, Jasmin, KarmaRunner, Blazemeter/JMeter.

Knowledge on cloud scaling and containerization: K8S, containers etc.

Experience Required:

years of experience in design and development – multiple platforms and functional domains.

2+ years of experience as a developer in building and consuming cloud native microservices using agile methodology (in financial domain preferred).

Major Stakeholders:

Internal: Engineering Leads, Product Owner, Business domain experts, IT audit, BTG Unit heads.

External: Partners, prospective suppliers.
